We work hard, so we play even harder. Texas Beta is known for having a good time, whether throwing a big Saturday night bash, having the chapter up for fun on Fridays, or even tailgaiting ALL morining before beating aTm for the 10th time in a row at the Jones, we have what you need to have a good time and even better stories here at Tech.

Below is a small example of events we are apart of during the year.

BID DAY

After a long week of rush, every fraternity throws a bid day party. This is a time to come celebrate you beginning pledgeship into a fraternity and also allows you to meet new brothers and especially new girls. We usually hold bid day @ the lodge and bring out a band and other fine entertainment...

Texas/aTm Weekend

There isn't a bigger game in Lubbock than the Texas or aTm weekend. Phi Psi is the only fraternity to throw an afterparty on greek circle, but that isn't to say thats all we do. We start the smoker early in the morning on Saturday and get out to RaiderGate soon after. We tailgate the afternoon away while eating good foor and kicking back with a cold one. After the game, we have a band come to the lodge, Honeybrowne last year, and celebrate the win. A party you don't want to miss.

Fall and Spring Formals

Each semester, Phi Psi holds a formal at the lodge or somewhere in the city. This gives us the opportunity to bring a special gal out with the rest of the chapter and show them a good time.

The last two semesters, we have held casino nights on Greek Circle. We bring in slots and tables and after a night in vegas, good prizes are given out.

Sorority Mixers

At least once a semester, we team up with a sorority on campus and have a joined party. In past semesters, we have gone bowling, played putt-putt or just stayed up at the lodge and had a good time. This gives us the chance to make more connections and friends while at Tech.

South Pacific 2008

This is by far the biggest party we hold every year. We take more than two weeks in advance to construct and set up an island oasis for all to enjoy. Outside we have a band, various tiki huts, pools and other summer items, while inside we cram the chapter room full of packing peanuts and a DJ. The fun begins in the afternoon and doesn't stop until the lights go out. You won't want to miss it.
